Republic of Ireland boss Martin O'Neill hopes to have Everton defender Seamus Coleman back for Monday's crucial Euro 2016 game against Georgia.
The 26-year-old first choice full-back missed Friday's 4-0 win over Gibraltar because of a hamstring injury but is likely to be fit to play in Dublin.
Derby's Cyrus Christie deputised for Coleman and scored in the Faro victory.
The Irish moved up to third in the group because Scotland were beaten 1-0 in Georgia on Friday.
"There is no point beating Gibraltar if we do not get it right on Monday night," said manager O'Neill.
"It will not be easy because Georgia will be coming here on a high.
"They had a great victory over Scotland and there is a renewed spirit about them. We will have to deal with that."
Republic’s Euro 2016 hopes revived
Friday's results in Group D certainly worked in Ireland's favour.
The Republic did what was expected of them by seeing off Gibraltar – and their prospects were further boosted by defeats for rivals Poland and Scotland.
Before the latest round of games, Irish fans felt their team were a scrap for third place and a play-off game.
But, with three fixtures left, they are two points behind the Poles and one ahead of Scotland.
They host leaders Germany on 8 October and finish with a trip to Poland three days later.
How the skipper sees it
Republic of Ireland's John O'Shea: "If we can beat Georgia, you are not just talking about a play-off. There would be a chance of automatic qualification.
"That is what is in our hands. The home game against Germany is going to be difficult. Then we have to go to Poland who we felt we should have beaten at home.
"We know we can get a result there, but let's beat Georgia first."
