MOTD COMMENTATOR’S NOTES
Steve Bower: "How will Chelsea respond to their defeat by Crystal Palace? Jose Mourinho has had a fortnight to reflect and will demand and expect a reaction.
"Chelsea need to rediscover their toughness and togetherness; the foundation on which last season's title success was built.
"One of many sub-plots sees Diego Costa try to add to his solitary goal against John Stones, who Chelsea hoped would be his team-mate by now.
"I watched Everton contain Manchester City for large periods at Goodison Park recently but struggle to create clear-cut opportunities. If they can do that here they could add to Chelsea's frustrations."

WHAT THE MANAGERS SAY
Everton manager Roberto Martinez on Chelsea transfer target John Stones: "John has gone from strength to strength in a period of high pressure and has used it in the right way, taking the support of everyone at the club, and has performed with incredible maturity and composure.
"The way he went away and performed for England in a very natural manner shows the calibre of player we have. Our best interest is to continue developing John to allow him to be a very important footballer for us."
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho: "In every match we've played better than the result. Even against West Bromwich where we won – the 3-2 victory looks like a very tight match but it wasn't.
"You can say the team is under-performing because some players are underperforming. Or you can say some players are under-performing and because of that the team is underperforming.
"We are strong, we are together, I believe in them, they believe in me. We are positive."
LAWRO’S PREDICTION
I suspect Jose Mourinho's side will be much better this weekend – they will definitely be fitter, which is an area he felt they were short in. Defensively, I am expecting to see a massive improvement from them.
