De Gea has played five times for Spain
David De Gea: Man United keeper could miss Euro 2016 for Spain
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is likely to miss the Euro 2016 finals if he does not feature for his club side this season, according to Spain boss Vicente del Bosque.
De Gea, 24, has been left out of the United side because of interest from Real Madrid – which ended when a deal to sign him was not completed in time for the Spanish transfer deadline.
"If he doesn't play it will be very difficult for him to come," the reigning champions' coach Del Bosque told Spanish newspaper Marca.
De Gea has made five appearances for Spain, whose first choice remains Porto's 162-time international Iker Casillas.
He has linked up with the Spain squad for Euro 2016 qualifiers against Slovakia and Macedonia, while United and Real argue over responsibility for the failed transfer.

"If I do feel the need to talk to him about it then I will say something," Del Bosque added.
"He needs to be professional and move on from this episode. I hope that he starts playing again and is happy, and if he plays well we can bring him along."
His Manchester United and Spain team-mate Juan Mata told AS he thought De Gea would remain professional.
"He's a great goalkeeper and any team would be boosted by his presence. The fans will get behind him, and all of us."
United winger Ashley Young told Golsicilia.it Sport everyone would be "pulling in the right direction".
