TEAM NEWS

Steven Fletcher is fit again after missing the Spurs defeat but Duncan Watmore is out with illness and Adam Matthews sidelined by an ankle injury.
MOTD COMMENTATOR’S NOTES
Jonathan Pearce: "Bournemouth need to get their first home victory quickly, and must win games like this if they're to stay up.
"It's Dick Advocaat's 900th managerial game. He won't make it to 950 with Sunderland unless they improve rapidly. This is a gritty day for both sides.
"Injuries to Gradel and Mings have hit the Cherries hard. They were exposed at Norwich. But the astute signing of Murray will help Callum Wilson. Both will score regularly.
"If M'Vila gets to grips with midfield and Defoe scores, Sunderland can grab a point. It's a big if – they're shocking away and it'll be an historic home win for me. "

WHAT THE MANAGERS SAY
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe on Jermain Defoe: " He is the best finisher of a ball I've ever seen. We will have to keep him quiet, that will make the difference on Saturday."
Sunderland head coach Dick Advocaat: "I have always said it doesn't matter how you play, I always go for three points. It doesn't matter how.
"Everybody has to realise that we have had a really, really difficult time because we brought players in late, and you see our line-up, six or seven players were out of contract, so we need more time for them to gel with each other more than normal."
LAWRO’S PREDICTION
At the moment I cannot see a way out for Sunderland. With the players they have signed, they do not inspire me to say they will definitely be in the Premier League come May.
Just looking at them at the moment, I am even struggling to see them winning a game.
