Vincent Kompany was substituted after 75 minutes of Tuesday's match against Juventus
Vincent Kompany: Man City skipper's calf injury 'not serious'
Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany says the calf injury that forced him off against Juventus is "not serious".
The 29-year-old Belgian was substituted after 75 minutes as City lost 2-1 in Tuesday's Champions League group match.
But Kompany said the switch was "just a precaution", adding: "I know my body."
City will look to continue their 100% start to the Premier League season when they host West Ham on Saturday, and manager Manuel Pellegrini has suggested Kompany will be in contention.
Kompany said the league leaders had performed well against last season's Champions League finalists, despite the disappointing result.
"There was actually nothing wrong with our performance," he said.
"In that respect I worry a lot less than in previous campaigns. There was no panic and we did not feel we did not know what to do.
"We played against a very good team. We are a little unhappy but we can take confidence to the next game."
