De Jong fires a warning to Manchester United
Luuk de Jong failed to score in 12 appearances on loan at Newcastle, but the Netherlands international is in prime form as he prepares to take on Manchester United.
The 25-year-old claimed a first-half hat-trick as PSV Eindhoven thrashed 10-man Cambuur Leeuwarden 6-0 to move second behind Ajax in the Dutch Eredivisie.
De Jong's unproductive five-month spell at St James' Park ended with his return to Borussia Monchengladbach in May 2014 after Newcastle decided against making the move permanent.
He has enjoyed life more in his homeland, scoring seven goals in six games this season, and 33 in 51 appearances in total since joining the Dutch champions, who host Louis van Gaal's side in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Thomas Muller gave up the element of surprise with his last-minute penalty as Bayern Munich came from behind to beat Augsburg 2-1 and maintain their 100% start to the season.
The Germany attacking midfielder was asked by Augsburg goalkeeper Marwin Hitz where he was going to put the decisive spot-kick, and promptly told him.
"We've known each other for quite a while and it was just a brief exchange," Muller said. "He wanted to know where I was going to shoot, so I told him."
The Manchester United target kept his word to score as Bayern remain second behind Borussia Dortmund.

David Moyes may have been in demand over the summer, after the former Manchester United manager claimed he turned down approaches to return to coaching in the Premier League.
However, his Real Sociedad side have so far failed to set La Liga alight this season.
They remain winless in the Primera Division without a goal in their first three games, after losing 1-0 to a Ruben Castro strike for 10-man Real Betis.
La Real's two points have both come from stalemates, to leave them in 13th.
