Real Madrid are "more united than ever" under former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez, says Alvaro Arbeloa.
Carlo Ancelotti was sacked by Real in May after they were knocked out by Juventus in the Champions League semi-finals, while Barcelona won La Liga.
Real have four points from Benitez's first two games and are away to Barcelona club Espanyol on Saturday.
"Following a year in which we failed to meet targets, we know this year is very important," said defender Arbeloa.
"Our target is to win everything.
"We know that will be very difficult, that expectations are high, but anything other than aspiring to win all the titles is not good enough at this club."
Arbeloa played under Benitez at Liverpool before moving to the Bernabeu in 2009.
"While you might hear that certain people aren't happy with him or that he shows more affection to certain players, nothing surprises me anymore," added Arbeloa in an interview with the club website.
"It doesn't matter which manager we have because there will always be people out there looking to portray an image of the team that isn't true.
"The team is more united than ever."
Benitez will have to do without both Colombia midfielder James Rodriguez and Brazil defender Danilo against Espanyol.
Rodriguez has a thigh injury while Danilo is receiving treatment for a heel problem.
Wales forward Gareth Bale is expected to be handed a central role once more by Benitez after scoring twice last time out against Real Betis.
