MOTD COMMENTATOR’S NOTES
Jonathan Pearce: "Tottenham's early-season form has been blunted by too many transfer comings and goings.
"Everton's start has been disrupted by the John Stones on-off Chelsea transfer saga. So far, both clubs look well short of a top-six challenge.
"The Everton defence looked woeful at Barnsley on Wednesday and I can't see Roberto Martinez notching only a third win in 13 games as a manager against Tottenham.
"But I wouldn't be surprised if Spurs fail to win any of their opening four league games for the first time in seven years. A draw for me."
WHAT THE MANAGERS SAY
Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino on Harry Kane: "I am not concerned or worried about him. He is a top scorer and maybe the next game will have the possibility to score.
"But this is football, and Harry knows it is okay. He is full of energy and against Leicester he played really well and worked hard for for the team.
"When you work hard and you do your job and you have the quality he has, he will score a lot of goals in the future."
Everton manager Roberto Martinez on the John Stones transfer saga: "During this tough period we are going to be there for him.
"We have great ambition, desire and great plans for John. We want to be a winning team and we need to keep our best performers and clearly John is big part of our future.
"We are a big football club with an incredible tradition and we will carry on giving him everything we can. As a young man you are under massive pressure and you are going to get influences."
LAWRO’S PREDICTION
I watched Tottenham at Leicester last weekend and I could not work out what they were trying to do in attack. I've been more impressed by what I have seen from Everton, especially in their last couple of games against Southampton and Manchester City, even though they lost.
