Ivan Sproule: Linfield winger set for Mallards loan move
Linfield's former Northern Ireland winger Ivan Sproule is set to finalise a loan move to Ballinamallard United.
Sproule, 34, has been out of favour at Linfield in recent months with injuries not helping his cause.
The Castlederg man is set to move to the Ferney Park club after undergoing a medical on Tuesday and his loan deal with be until the end of this season.
"Ivan still has the hunger and passion to make a significant contribution," said Mallards manager Whitey Anderson.
Sproule, who won 11 Northern Ireland cap, signed for Linfield in December 2013 after leaving Scottish club Ross County.
The Castlederg man's nine-year cross channel stint also consisted of spells at Hibernian and Bristol City.
The ex-Omagh Town and Institute player won his first cap as a substitute in Northern Ireland's 1-0 win over England at Windsor Park in September, 2005.
Sproule scored a goal on his first start for Northern Ireland, against Estonia on 1 March 2006, and made his last Northern Ireland appearance in 2007.
